The color, viscosities and thickener types of each sunsetting and replacement product can be found on a more detailed chart, linked here<\/a>. Inventory of the sunsetting products will only be available while supplies last, so encourage your customers to transition now, if they haven\u2019t already, by reviewing the performance of the alternative products, existing inventory needs and invoiced pricing. The sunset allows for simplification around Chevron\u2019s supply chain efficiency. <\/p>\n

As you are helping customers update their product inventory, you can usher in a smooth transition by reminding them of the educational materials available to determine the compatibility of different greases. Recently our Chevron Lube Matters blog<\/a> focused on the limitations of trying to decide on a grease simply by looking at its color and texture. The article also contains a link to a Chevron whitepaper<\/a> that delves deeper into understanding what goes into grease, what happens during storage, and oil separation.<\/p>\n

In addition to these teaching tools that are available to the public, you and your Marketers have exclusive access to Chevron\u2019s Grease Compatibility Matrix<\/a>, which is in Appendix F (Compatibility Guidelines) of the Product Integrity Manual. In it, users will find a very helpful chart of grease compatibility by thickener type, ranging in measures from \u201ccompatible,\u201d to \u201cborderline (need to test),\u201d to \u201cincompatible.\u201d The Manual is posted to Chevron Business Point.<\/p>\n
