We’re excited to announce the premiere of Chevron’s newest marine engine oil – Taro® Ultra! Taro Ultra is a new product that is replacing our phased-out Taro Special HT LF, thus there is no overall increase in product line complexity.
Taro® Ultra products are cylinder lubricants designed for lubricating the latest generation two-stroke marine engines running on low sulphur fuels under all loads and operating conditions. Running on low sulphur fuel (<0.1% sulphur) requires the reduction of base introduced into the cylinder. It is blended with highly-refined base oils and carefully selected additives to provide excellent ring and liner wear protection and piston cleanliness in slow-speed crosshead diesel engines.
