Chevron has won preferred retail fueler status for FedEx Express and FedEx Freight US-based fleets.
Last year, vehicle drivers for FedEx Express and FedEx Freight divisions fueled approximately 60 million gallons at multiple branded stations within the Chevron and Texaco geographical footprint, including approximately 4.5 million gallons specifically at Chevron and Texaco sites. With preferred retail fueler status, Chevron and Texaco sites have the opportunity to gain more of the available FedEx fueling business.
FedEx transacts with a WEX private label card. FedEx will inform drivers that Chevron is a preferred retail fueler at both Chevron and Texaco stations. According to WEX Inc., business drivers purchase 15-times more fuel than a consumer and they are likely to spend $50 per month in c-store purchases.
Positive attributes that helped Chevron win the FedEx fleet fueling bid include:
- Fuel rebate funded entirely by Chevron.
- A network of conveniently located Chevron and Texaco stations across multiple states.
- Chevron Texaco Rewards (CTR) and ExtraMile Extras rewards programs that help maximize value to FedEx drivers and encourage return visits.
- Techron attributes, including unbeatable mileage, smooth acceleration, minimized emissions, protected engine parts, and reduced or stopped engine knock.
- A growing network of truck stop locations.
- Availability of Chevron’s Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel and our expanding capability to supply renewable diesel blends.
