Virtual Training Course Updates

The Sales Readiness team has been working to move courses to a virtual platform. These are instructor-led trainings combined with a self-paced study. They will include live webinar check-ins with an instructor who will teach, coach and guide attendees through the learning journey. Depending on the course, the length varies, but will run either 4, 6 or 8 weeks. We begin with a Kick-Off meeting that outlines the course details, explains how to navigate to the course and sets expectations.

There will be live webinar discussions every two weeks throughout the duration of the course to review content, ask questions and share experiences. In between the kick-off meeting and live check-in meetings, you are expected to complete the Learning Plan in Lubricants University which consist of training videos, training decks, and other information important to the segment you are reviewing. This part is self-paced. A syllabus is provided to help keep you on track.

Here are the anticipated launch dates and are subject to change.

  • October 5 – Value Based Selling – REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
    • There is no cost for this course. Launches 10/5, meeting dates in addition to self-managed content review: 10/20, 11/2 & 11/16.
  • October 6 – Products & Application – REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
    • This course is $250.00 USD/person for our Lubrication Marketers (to be invoiced quarterly) – no cost for Chevron employees. Launches 10/6, meeting dates in addition to self-managed content review: 10/20 & 11/8.
  • October 7 – 1st Source Auto Installed – REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
    • This course is $500.00 USD/person for our Lubrication Marketers (to be invoiced quarterly) – no cost for Chevron employees. Launches 10/7, meeting dates in addition to self-managed content review: 10/21, 11/8 & 11/30.
  • October 19 – 1st Source Industrial – REGISTRATION OPENING SOON
    • This course is $750.00 USD/person for our Lubrication Marketers (to be invoiced quarterly) – no cost for Chevron employees. Launches 10/9, meeting dates in addition to self-managed content review: 11/3, 11/17 & 12/1.
  • TBD – 1st Source On Highway
    • This course is $750.00 USD/person for our Lubrication Marketers (to be invoiced quarterly) – no cost for Chevron employees.

Please note: 1st Source credit is given when the following criteria are met:

  • If the same person participates and completes the Products & Application + Value Based Selling courses, they will receive 1st Source credit.
  • Completion of a 1st Source class includes Construction, Auto Installed, Industrial and On-Highway. There is one course offering of each in 2021. You need to register for each course in Lubricants University. You will find the course details in Lubricants University.
  • Completion of the courses consists of 85% of the modules reviewed + passing the quizzes & test with a score of 80% or higher. Additional requirements subject to change depending on the course, for example our Construction course will also require an RBL+ presentation at the end. The progress is tracked!
  • If a Marketer participates in the Challenge Yourself workshop in 2021, it counts towards the 1st Source training requirement for the year.
