Dual mechanical seals are used to control emissions of volatile air pollutants from industrial equipment. Leading seal manufacturers recommend the use of low viscosity synthetic fluids for extended seal life of API Standard 682 dual mechanical seals.
Chevron recently identified an opportunity to sell a 5 cSt Tegra Barrier Fluid for either low temperature or specific operating conditions calling for 5 cSt (ISO 22). Please see the updated product data sheet, linked below, for details of the new grade.
It is available in drums and pails now out of Chevron’s Port Arthur plant. Spread the word with customers in the refining and petro-chemical business and encourage them to prepare their systems to start ordering the new 5 cSt grade (product code 210441).
